Published in Barcelona between 1961 and 1975, Lumen’s Palabra e Imagen collection brought photography and literature into dialogue through carefully designed books. Pairing photographers such as Joan Colom, Ramón Masats, Xavier Miserachs and Sergio Larraín with prominent writers, it challenged the distinction between image and text. Darwin selects this collection for its radical understanding of the photobook as a space of collective authorship, sequencing and editorial experimentation.
