Galerna gathers Jon Cazenave's long investigation of identity and belonging in the Basque Country. Named for the sudden storm that rises on the coast, the work moves between land, sea, bodies and elemental forms. Cazenave has returned to this territory over years, allowing images to accumulate outside a linear travel narrative. The book brings the project together as a personal geography in which landscape is inseparable from memory and the sense of where one comes from.
