Septembre au Chili 1971/1973) — Raymond Depardon & David Burnett — Atelier EXB
Two photographers arrive in Chile in different Septembers. Raymond Depardon visits in 1971, recording the energy after Salvador Allende's election; David Burnett photographs Santiago in 1973 after Pinochet's coup. Placed together, their pictures show how radically a country's public life can change in two years. The book also includes testimony from people who lived through the dictatorship, linking the news image to the experience that continues beyond it.
