The Sound of Dirt and Beauty — Jesse Glazzard — SPBH Editions — 2026

A decade of friendship, desire and transition becomes an archive made from inside the community. Glazzard’s first book follows friends, lovers and collaborators across Britain, combining intimate portraits with bedrooms, gatherings, diary fragments and everyday encounters. Rooted in working-class experience and underground queer culture, the photographs resist turning identity into spectacle. Glazzard’s own transition runs quietly through the sequence, alongside changing relationships and chosen families.
