Limbo — Sergio Castañeira — Ediciones Anómalas — 2023

Limbo follows Sergio Castañeira’s return to photography after a spinal cord injury changed his life in 2014. Made with a mobile phone during his stay at the CRMF rehabilitation centre in San Fernando, Cádiz, from November 2015 to March 2020, the images and accompanying reflections form a diary of adaptation. Photographing became both a way to observe the centre and a means of reclaiming an activity he had been unable to practise for more than a year.
