Published to mark the centenary of Marc Riboud’s birth, Au long cours presents 132 black-and-white photographs drawn from a life of constant motion—across borders, conflicts, rituals, and revolutions. The book functions as both monograph and voyage, tracing Riboud’s itinerant eye from Asia to Africa, from Tehran to Tokyo, always with quiet clarity and humane detachment. The cover, with its layered architectural forms and shadowy silhouettes, signals Riboud’s gift for structuring space as metaphor.
