Talashi — Alexis Cordesse — Atelier EXB

Alexis Cordesse asked Syrians in exile about the personal images they had carried with them, in luggage or on their phones. In more than a hundred encounters across France, Germany and Turkey, photographs of family and everyday life became the starting points for their stories. Such images could be dangerous if seized at a checkpoint. Talashi places these vulnerable private archives and their owners' words where war photography usually puts the event itself.
