Raymond Depardon
From Villefranche-sur-Saône to Africa, the Arab world and Asia, Depardon builds a practice across reportage, film and books. A co-founder of Gamma with Gilles Caron, he later joined Magnum Photos. Darwin stresses continuity: justice, psychiatry and politics recur throughout the work. His view-camera photographs of France align with our attention to territory as document and sequence rather than isolated image.
