The third volume of Yuki Aoyama’s Schoolgirl Complex series takes the girls’ school as its setting. Its colour photographs concentrate on uniforms, gestures and fragments of everyday school life, using close framing to interrupt the familiar structure of the portrait. Clothing and repeated visual details become recurring motifs across the sequence, while the relationship between individuals and a shared environment provides the book’s organising theme.
