写真集狂アラーキー (Ararchy Photobook Mania) — Nobuyoshi Araki — Izu Photo Museum — 2012
A catalogue built around Araki’s extraordinary life in books, Ararchy Photobook Mania treats publishing itself as a central part of his photographic practice. Produced for the 2012 Izu Photo Museum exhibition, it documents his publications from the Xeroxed Photo Albums of 1970 through 2012, reproducing hundreds of covers alongside early scrapbooks made while he worked at Dentsu. The volume also includes Araki’s post-earthquake series ’11 3.11 and contributions by twenty-four writers and artists.
