Sakiko Nomura emerged in proximity to Nobuyoshi Araki yet developed a gaze of her own, turning bodies, rooms, flowers and landscapes into private sequences where desire meets disappearance. Her blacks conceal as much as they reveal. Through Akio Nagasawa, the photobook becomes tactile and intimate: paper, scale, binding and sequence carrying photography toward secrecy, mourning and the invisible beyond the image.
