Myself, Friends, Lovers and Others — Arnis Balčus, Dienacht edition of 500

Raw proximity defines this work. Across 109 colour photographs, the artist turns the camera toward his immediate circle—friends, partners, fleeting encounters—collapsing autobiography and social portrait into one continuous field. The images move between tenderness, irony and exposure, tracing intimacy without spectacle. The open spine and soft cloth cover, printed and embossed, reinforce the sense of something personal yet deliberately public.
