Rodrigo Gómez Rovira combines his own photographs of Tierra del Fuego with an album made by his grandfather, who moved there in 1938. Later, the family left Chile for France under the dictatorship; the photographer returned in the 1990s to search for its roots. The book lets the two generations' images speak across that rupture. Vast southern landscapes and family documents become parts of one history of settlement, exile and return.
