    Kanta Nomura’s book combines more than a decade of photographs from Kyoto University’s self-governed Yoshida Dormitory with vernacular images gathered from university archives and alumni collections. The result is both an inside view of a living student community and a layered history of an institution shaped by autonomy, cultural activity and conflict with the university administration. Curated by Yumi Goto, the project won the first Andy Rocchelli Grant and was produced by Cesura Publish.
