Suburban Bus: Archive — Alejandro Cartagena — The Velvet Cell / Los Sumergidos — 2026

Advertising-wrapped buses become a lens on mobility and inequality in metropolitan Monterrey. Cartagena draws attention to the tension between the commercial messages carried on their exteriors and the daily journeys of the people inside. Published in an edition of 500, this archive connects public transport with the politics of labour, urban growth and the visibility of commuters.
