Made between 1975 and 1979, the work moves through Shinjuku and Ikebukuro nightclubs, street gangs, political groups and after-hours encounters with an unusually frontal documentary force. The original publication earned Kurata the 1980 Kimura Ihei Award; this 2013 edition restores the series in 140 images.
