部屋についての部屋 / A Room of Rooms — Alec Soth — Tokyo Photographic Art Museum — 2024 — Cover D

A bed, a pair of towels, a portrait made inside someone’s home: in Alec Soth’s photographs, rooms hold clues to lives that remain partly beyond our reach. Published for his 2024–2025 exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, A Room of Rooms brings together almost thirty years of work through the recurring presence of interiors. Photographs from Sleeping by the Mississippi, Niagara and later series enter a new sequence alongside I Know How Furiously Your Heart is Beating and Advice for Young Artists.
