“Art school taught them well.” — Drawing on Bristol Paper

A billboard, a flash, a drink, a kiss — this is the party and the people watching. In “Art school taught them well.”, Edward Cushenberry pulls back from his Polaroid close-ups and gives us a bigger, noisier frame. At the center: a backyard-ish yellow wall, kids in casual fits, drinks in hand, side-eyes flying. On the left, two girls kiss while another teen looks on, caught between curiosity and judgment.
