Berlin Nocturnal Desire — Miron Zownir — 89books

Miron Zownir photographs Berlin after dark as a territory of sexual freedom, performance and marginal subculture. His black-and-white images move through clubs, bodies and nocturnal encounters without separating desire from the rough urban environments in which it appears. Published by 89books, Berlin Nocturnal Desire extends Zownir’s long relationship with the city and its outsiders, concentrating on the years when post-reunification Berlin still offered spaces where unconventional identities could exist with unusual visibility.
