Diana Markosian returns to a relationship after learning that the man she loved has begun a new life with someone else. She reconstructs scenes, places and gestures once shared with him, inserting herself into a story that now continues without her. The resulting photographs move between evidence and staged reenactment. In the small format of this book, the theatrical method feels disarmingly private: a study of how heartbreak changes the ownership of a memory.
