Candle Leather Cage — Mysterio 89 — 89books

Candle Leather Cage moves through fetish, leather and erotic subculture with an intentionally enclosed, nocturnal atmosphere. Mysterio 89 photographs bodies and coded objects at close range, making texture and gesture as important as explicit narrative. Published by 89books, the book belongs to a tradition of underground artist publications in which sexuality is documented from within its own visual language rather than explained for an outside audience. The sequence is physical, private and deliberately resistant to conventional portraiture.
