Steven Edson’s Bizarroland grows from three decades of photographing flea markets, places where discarded domestic objects, collectibles and personal relics are reorganised for another possible life. Edson treats these temporary displays as accidental portraits of society: things once valued become merchandise again, arranged with care or thrown into chaotic piles. The book follows his wandering attention through this unstable material culture rather than a conventional market typology. Its first edition contains 172 full-page colour photographs.
