Sasuke — Masahisa Fukase — Atelier EXB

In 1977 Masahisa Fukase began photographing his cat Sasuke, then Momoe, turning their games into an unusually inventive body of work. The first Sasuke disappeared and was replaced by another cat, a story that already hints at the affection and projection running through the series. Drawn from Fukase's archive by Tomo Kosuga, this book includes familiar and unpublished images. The cats are companions, performers and willing accomplices in the photographer's experiments.
