KURA chan — Daido Moriyama — Akio Nagasawa Publishing — 2020
Moriyama returns to photographs made at the height of Provoke , re-editing images originally published in issues 2 and 3 alongside numerous frames left unseen at the time. Centred on an encounter with a woman in a hotel room, the sequence brings intimacy and erotic tension into the grain, blur and radical contrast associated with this decisive period of his work.
