Outer Space Press — Artist-Publisher Studio
Berlin-based duo Claudio Pogo and Magda Wysocka founded Outer Space Press in 2016 out of a desire for full creative autonomy. Combining photography, printmaking, publishing and curatorial practice, they reclaim the book as an artist’s book — designing, prototyping and producing each edition in-house.
Their work often begins with archives: found books, photographic ephemera and fragments of image histories are recontextualised into new visual narratives. Publishing becomes part of the artwork rather than merely its distribution.
Outer Space Press also collaborates with artists working between photography, print experiment and book arts. Their editions are often limited, tactile and closely tied to texture, gesture and memory.
