Silver Lake Drive — Alex Prager — Thames & Hudson — 2022
Meticulously staged crowds, saturated colour and uneasy gestures give Alex Prager’s Los Angeles the tension of a film paused mid-scene. This monograph brings together a decade of photographs and five films, with an interview by Nathalie Herschdorfer and essays by Michael Govan, Clare Grafik and Michael Mansfield. Its sequences connect Hollywood spectacle with the isolation and uncertainty of individual figures.
