Noticings (2019–2021) is Patrick Sansone’s second photographic monograph, gathering pictures made between the winter of 2019 and the summer of 2021. Known as a musician with Wilco and The Autumn Defense, Sansone turns a patient eye towards the American South: weathered signs, closed shops, vacant lots and the ordinary structures through which a place reveals its history. Made on 35mm and medium-format film, the photographs extend the analogue practice of his earlier book, 100 Polaroids .
