Osmosis — Alvin Booth, 2006
Alvin Booth’s Osmosis , published in 2006 by Galerie Vevais, is a quietly carnal meditation on transformation, fluidity, and the body’s spectral potential. Printed with an almost alchemical sepia tonality, the book conjures an eroticism that is less explicit than osmotic — images of limbs, hair, skin, and breath blur into one another, merging anatomical fact with dream-state suggestion. Booth, trained in both prosthetics and photography, stages bodies not just as subjects but as mutable vessels.
