愛の嵐 (Ai no Arashi / Storm of Love) — Nobuyoshi Araki — Byakuya Shobo — 1982

Published as the first volume in Byakuya Shobo’s Shashin Jidai Bunko series, 愛の嵐 belongs to the period when Araki’s work and the magazine Shashin Jidai were becoming inseparable. The compact book places erotic portraiture within the restless, immediate visual language that defined his early-1980s publishing: photography as diary, provocation and mass-media object rather than precious print. The original yellow obi identifies it as Shashin Jidai Bunko 1, situating the book directly within that influential magazine culture.
