Kanrapee Chokpaiboon is a Thai photographer whose work examines everyday Bangkok through dense, fragmented street images. He photographs crowds, bodies, advertising, architecture and accidental encounters, using tight framing and visual collisions to describe the city rather than conventional narrative. His photobooks develop this material through sequencing and repetition. Darwin selects Chokpaiboon for an urban photography where contemporary Thailand appears crowded, unstable and shaped by competing signs, surfaces and gestures.
