Dolor exquisito — Sophie Calle — Ediciones Comisura — 2026

A breakup becomes a methodical experiment in time, memory and narration. Over ninety-nine days, Sophie Calle rewrites the story of her own emotional pain, then confronts it with testimonies of suffering from other people. Text, photography and personal archive are folded into a rule-based structure in which repetition slowly alters the meaning of the original event. Comisura’s 2026 edition is the first Spanish translation of a work originally published by Actes Sud in 2003.
