Martín Chambi’s work appears alongside Juan Manuel Castro Prieto’s response to the country and its people, with a text by Alejandro Castellote. Their connection began in 1990, when Castro Prieto travelled to Cusco to make prints from Chambi’s original glass negatives. The book connects that encounter with a continuing personal engagement with Peru.
