WITH AND WITHOUT YOU, Jacob Aue Sobol, SUPER LABO, 2019

A photobook conceived as both tribute and reckoning. Published on Jacob Aue Sobol’s fortieth birthday, With And Without You gathers photographs from across his career in memory of the father he lost at twenty. Rather than a retrospective, it is a deeply personal edit of images his father never had the chance to see. Bringing together work from Sabine , The Gomez Brito Family , I, Tokyo , Arrivals and Departures and previously unpublished projects, it offers the most complete entry point into Sobol’s intensely human universe.
