WALL – Jaume Plensa (2006)

Text as wound, silence as portrait. This lithograph by Jaume Plensa, part of his Serie Anónimos, confronts the viewer with a haunting face, veiled by vertical streaks of ink and interrupted by a single printed word: WALL. The face, anonymous yet intimate, stares through the translucent paper as if trying to break through it. The word becomes a scar. The wall is not just external — it is within the image, across identity, and between language and seeing.
