Disko Bay is an independent Copenhagen publishing house founded by photographer and publisher Mathias Svold, specialising in contemporary photobooks. Its catalogue concentrates on visually distinctive projects developed through close collaboration with photographers, designers and writers, with particular attention to Nordic perspectives, landscape and personal narratives. Darwin selects Disko Bay for treating publishing as part of photographic authorship: editing, sequencing, typography and material production shape each project as a complete work.
