Big Nudes — Helmut Newton 1991 poster set

A rare Helmut Newton twelve-sheet large 82 × 56 posters set, drawn from his seminal Big Nudes series and published in Italy as a 1991 supplement to Myster magazine.

Each poster — printed in dramatic black and white on glossy paper, designed as loose sheets (a fogli sciolti), inviting the viewer to display, archive, or frame them individually.

 The photographs are unmistakably Newton: women posed with a mix of classical stillness and electric autonomy, gazes unflinching, bodies monumental, often shot in stark studio light or minimalist architectural settings. The calendar format becomes irrelevant — what remains is a curated gallery of Newtonian archetypes.

This edition belongs to a key moment in European print culture, when erotic photography met high fashion and entered the living room or atelier as visual manifesto. Its Condé Nast provenance anchors it within an editorial legacy, yet the format — grand, tactile, cinematic — asserts it as a collectable art object.
