Exposure — Takashi Homma, Editorial RM, 2000
A haunting reconstruction of an unseen life shaped by nuclear catastrophe. Built from found negatives recovered in Pripyat, this work traces the first thirty years of a girl living with the invisible consequences of Chernobyl. Part of a larger triadic project—two photobooks and a facsimile newspaper—it rejects conventional photojournalism in favor of narrative layering and material form. Produced after Obara’s research in Ukraine (2015–2016), it stands as a precise, deeply affecting meditation on memory, radiation, and generational aftermath.
