A dense, immersive sequence where time becomes the true subject, this work distills years of encounters with Rome into a fluid, unstable visual field. Images dissolve between states—stone, water, light—forming a space where erosion and memory reshape perception. Initiated during a residency at the Royal Spanish Academy, the project extends Jiménez’s ongoing exploration of fragmentation and ambiguity. With 138 images unfolding almost cinematically, it constructs a fictional Rome where history is not documented, but transformed.
