Guava Farang — Romain Vincent Guiot — 89books

Romain Vincent Guiot photographs Thailand through the friction between foreign observation and everyday experience. Rather than assembling a conventional travelogue, Guava Farang moves through streets, gestures, bodies and incidental encounters, allowing the country to appear through fragments and visual collisions. The title itself plays on the Thai word farang, used for Western foreigners. Published by 89books, the book is structured as a subjective diary in which distance, attraction and cultural disorientation remain visible.
