Stranger In Polaroid — Otto Grokenberger, 2018
Colour interrupts a black-and-white classic. Shot during the production of Stranger Than Paradise (1984), these rediscovered Polaroids offer an intimate counterpoint to Jim Jarmusch’s landmark film. Found three decades later in two unmarked attic boxes, the images move between production still and personal document. Captioned by Grokenberger, they reveal the texture of places and the off-screen presence of its characters. A rare, full-colour behind-the-scenes record of a defining moment in art-house cinema.
