TAMARI: Los que nacen van hacia la muerte — David Arribas — Self-published — 2026
Grain, blur and stark black and white give everyday streets the atmosphere of an unsettled interior world. David Arribas, a Madrid-based documentary photographer concerned with nearby sociocultural subjects, turns here to the pressures of contemporary urban life. The silkworm provides the project’s central metaphor: a creature raised and shaped for use becomes an analogy for people conditioned by consumption, repetition and the structures around them. Made with a small pocket camera, the photographs keep the immediacy of passing encounters while bringing anonymity and psychological strain into view. Edited by José Luis Carrillo and designed by La Bibliográfica, this independently published book asks the reader to slow down within a visual world governed by speed.
