Tout est Possible — Maite Caramés, first edition, Ediciones posibles, 2025
A real scam unfolds like fiction in this sharp photographic inquiry into belief, illusion and image-making. Rooted in Victor Lustig’s audacious attempt to sell the Eiffel Tower in 1925, the work retraces his steps through Paris, merging archival fragments with duotone photographs where the monument drifts in and out of view. The narrative slips between noir and testimony, with Lustig reappearing as a voice. Published 100 years after the event in an edition of 500 copies, it reconsiders how history is staged, seen and retold.
