Albarrán Cabrera is the Barcelona-based photographic duo of Anna Cabrera and Ángel Albarrán, working together since 1996. Their images explore memory, perception and the passage of time through landscapes, interiors and fragmented observations of everyday life. They are particularly known for experimental printing processes using pigments, platinum, palladium and Japanese paper. Darwin selects them for treating the photographic print as a crafted object whose material surface actively shapes the image.
