Fw is an independent Dutch publisher founded in 2004 by Hans Gremmen, specialising in photography books and artist publications. Based in Amsterdam, it develops books through close collaboration between photographers, designers and editors, treating design as part of the photographic argument. Its catalogue includes work by Dana Lixenberg, Rob Hornstra, Anne Geene and Bertien van Manen. Darwin selects Fw for publications where sequencing, typography and material construction actively determine how photographs are read.
