Visage d’Asie — Henri Cartier-Bresson — Éditions du Chêne — 1972
Black-and-white photographs bring together Cartier-Bresson’s observations of everyday life across Asia, with an introduction by journalist Robert Shaplen. This French-language volume was manufactured in Japan: Nissha in Kyoto printed the photographs in gravure and the text in offset, while Makoto Binderies in Tokyo produced the binding. Its sequence moves between public events, street scenes and quieter encounters.
