A miniature archive of desire, absence and negotiation. Built from matrimonial classified ads spanning 1895 to 2019, this compact book turns private longing into social history. Sorted by decade, the notices expose shifting ideals of gender, love and respectability with Calle’s dry humour and exact sense of form. Detachable vintage ads, postcards and transfer images invite the reader to intervene, making each copy slightly unstable. Conceived with Cent pages, it also extends Calle’s long editorial complicity with Xavier Barral.
