Moriyama turns the camera back on himself. Bringing together 42 self-portraits, BOKU shifts his familiar language of grain, shadow, reflection and fragmentation from the street toward his own image. Rather than conventional portraits, these photographs treat the self as another unstable surface to encounter: obscured, doubled or partially disappearing into the frame. Presented entirely in double-page spreads, the book is the fourth in Akio Nagasawa’s hand-bound series, issued in 350 signed and numbered copies with a silkscreen-printed canvas cover.
