Moriyama’s Uwajima photographs began with a 2004 visit to the Shikoku city guided by artist Shinro Ohtake, whose studio is based there. Moving between streets and the surrounding landscape, Moriyama records the textures and atmosphere of a provincial city far from his better-known Tokyo territory. This 2022 colour photobook gathers 142 images from that encounter. The edition was produced in 350 signed and numbered copies, with a silkscreen-printed canvas cover.
