Moriyama returns to photographs made at the height of Provoke, re-editing images originally published in issues 2 and 3 alongside numerous frames left unseen at the time. Centred on an encounter with a woman in a hotel room, the sequence brings intimacy and erotic tension into the grain, blur and radical contrast associated with this decisive period of his work. The sixth title in Akio Nagasawa’s hand-bound series, it has a silkscreen-printed canvas cover and was issued in 600 signed and numbered copies.
