A facsimile return to the formative years of butoh and Hosoe’s close engagement with its performers. This 2012 edition reproduces publications made for Tatsumi Hijikata’s Dance Experience events of 1960 and 1961, preserving early photographs of Hijikata, Kazuo Ohno and Yukio Mishima. These images precede Hosoe’s later collaboration with Hijikata in Kamaitachi and document photography and experimental dance developing in direct proximity. The set comprises two softcover volumes with accompanying material and was issued in 1,000 copies.
